Six more weeks...

I am down to the final 6 weeks of my pregnancy. The countdown has begun; and my "nesting" instinct is in full swing, though you wouldn't know it by the looks of my house tonight! Although, this morning I actually braved the snails and weeded some of my garden. That was a big CHECK off my "to-do-before-baby-arrives" list. Now for the rest of the list...

My countdown has begun to exist in weekends, Saturdays actually. I have (not including today) exactly 5 Saturdays until my due date. And if I happen to go over-due there will be an extra 6th Saturday thrown in. My dilemma is this: Next Saturday is our church Women's Retreat (I'm DEFINITELY going!), then there will only be 4 precious Saturdays left in which Nate and I can try to complete our list. I do what I can during the week, but I'm pretty sure I'd be in labor if I tried completing one of the "save for a Saturday" tasks, such as hanging drywall, by myself. Plus just about everyone would kill me for such a stupid move. But don't think I haven't thought about doing it-more than once. :) And the possible, but not very probable, 6th Saturday might find me wishing I could do anything to get labor going, but will more likely find me resting up for the big day. So I'm down to 4 days. Can I add another possibility here? Adelaide was 4 weeks early. That means I'd be going into labor in 2 weeks if I was to have Hugh at the same point his big sister was born. That would leave ONE Saturday-yikes!

So in light of all this "if-ing" lets pray Hugh lets me have at least 3 of my 4 Saturdays to do the essentials on the list, so our house will be ready for his arrival. As for me being ready for his arrival? I don't see that happening anytime soon. Just mention the words car seat or stroller and I have an instant panic attack.

P.S. The potty training is going GREAT!! Hurray for big sister!!

Thanks for lunch today; it was good to spend some time with you. I can't wait to see your bouncing baby boy in 5 0r 6 weeks.
