Confessions
I have to confess that I'd love to blog more, but seem to have been sucked into the idea that I must have a great photo or funny story to tell each time I blog. Awhile back I did post a rather "serious" blog, sans photos, and I must say I enjoyed it. I must also confess that it is NOT possible to do and be everything you want when you have a 2-year old and an almost 5-month old tugging at EVERY one of your body parts. Oi!! I used to wonder how my Mother-in-law did it all. Over the past few weeks I've come to the realization that she never did ALL those things she's teaching me (canning, gardening, spinning, soap & lotion making(actually, haven't learned these yet) and bread making) while her kiddos were still nursing and in diapers. Plus I'm learning to live with the fact that I can't learn to do everything while I'm still in my 20's. She's had a few more years to fill up than I have and at some point my kids will actually be able to entertain themselves, feed themselves and live without me for 15-30 minutes at a time. Maybe then I'll post some exceptionally awesome blogs.
But for now I'll post a small family update to tide my readers (s? maybe I should just say reader) over until I'm able to post again soon.
Lets start from the top down:
Papa- Nate is working, preaching, leading music and enjoying reading the "Jesus Book" to Adelaide nightly. When he's not reading with Adelaide he's getting puked on by his favorite son. Nate is also working on growing his beard longer than his grampa's.
Mama-I've been working on canning lately as well as knitting. I'm knitting a sweater for a friend's girl due...well I better not say or I'll give away the surprise. Oh! I also started baking my own bread. Fun, fun, fun!
Lil' Miss-Adelaide is growing up so fast! Her vocabulary is INSANE!! She comes up with these sentences that blow me away. Her little mind is always going. She loves her new baby brother and is learning to play gentle with him. Gentle is actually one of her new words. "Gotta be jen-seal" is more how is sounds. Her favorite things to say to Baby Hugh are:
"Hi, sister." "It's o.k., Buddy, don't need to cry." "I need to touch him!!" "I need to go bye-bye."
Baby Hugh-Hugh is growing like a weed and I'm sure he'll be 30 pounds by the time I get him to his 5-month check up!! His new thing is this attempted crawl-scoot thing. Yikes! He's mobile!! Everyone is always saying how happy he is. He smiles constantly and I can't help tickling him to hear is from-the-gut laugh.

Readers! I read it, and I love it!
You're knitting!!! You'll have to teach me how to do sweaters, so far I can only do blankets.
We miss you guys and I hope I get to meet your adorable little ones soon!

dallass I can relate to the not posting because of lack of news...at least you have kids to talk about. The whole confidentiality really limits the awesome stories from work. I love reading about you a your family! Keep 'em coming!
