SURPRISE!

Last night my husband and I went to our friends' house for dinner...or so I thought. When we walked in I was greeted by my surprise baby shower attendees! Everyone thought I HAD to know what was up and was just playing along, even Nate thought I was just humoring everyone. But I really had NO idea! It was so much fun, especially since I had been caught off-guard.

I guess the fact that pregnancy really messes up your brain helped me not figure out the big secret. Nate even slipped up once in front of me and had to lie about who was one the phone...I didn't catch it. And when we pulled up to the house last night I didn't notice all the cars outside. I only noticed one friend's car and thought perhaps she had stopped by to drop something off. When we walked up to the door I saw my friend, Randi(the one who's car I noticed), through the window posed with her camera pointed at the door ready for action. I though to myself, "how silly, what is Randi doing?" And immediately that thought was followed by another one suggesting a surprise of some sort. Then the door opened and it all came together!

I had a great time. Nate's grandma and aunt and cousin were even able to attend. I had been bummed because they would be leaving town before the baby shower planned for this Saturday. But they were able to come to one of my baby showers! All in all it was a fun night and I still can't believe I never figured it out.
