Train up a child...

I've always wanted to teach my children to memorize scripture from an early age. I thought we'd start with something modified/simplified like, "Bear ye one another's burdens." Something simple like I learned when I was young and first starting to memorize God's word. Adelaide is usually surprising us in one sense or another so I don't know why I thought it would be different with her ability to memorize scripture. We're going to nail this one down for a few more days and start on another one! (By the way it's taken her less than a week to memorize this!) This scripture was part of our evening reading last week and it stood out to me as a good lesson from scripture, so I started working with her saying it over about twice every evening and once or twice throughout the day-really that's all! She has made me one proud Mama!
