Catching up...
So, here's a quick recap on the, uh...last YEAR. Obviously with 3 little ones I've been busy! I wanted to post some "catch up" pictures from the last year...for those that are curious.
Two weeks before Gillian was born a dear friend did a photo shoot for me. It was her shower gift to me and I was overjoyed! I didn't think I'd get any "belly shots" with this baby (other than the ones I'd been taking with my iSight camera on the iMac). I'm so happy we got them done. I still, ahem, need to put them in frames and then on the wall (but we're hoping to move...and THAT is another post for another day).
So without further adieu...

And then 2 weeks later...
I woke up at 4am with a few mild to moderate contractions. And after 3 kids you'd think I KNEW, but I wasn't quite sure. I waited a while then texted my mom (who had been at my house about 12 hours ago, but had returned to Sacramento to wait another week to come on my due date!). We tried to rest and "see what happened" but rest was eluding me. Laying down only brought the contractions on stronger. Around 7 am we started making calls and getting the birth tub set up. Surprisingly I never once thought of getting in the car and driving to the hospital. I had full faith in my Heavenly Father and by His grace trusted in Him to care for me. I also had full faith in my Midwife, her assistant and my ever faithful, loving husband. AND I had great friends come and pick up the other two kiddos(not a moment too soon!) so I was free to be me and get down to business. By this time is was a little after 8am. I sat on the birth ball with Nate pushing into my lower back, while the tub filled up. The midwife came just before 9am and estimated I was about 7cm dilated. I was so glad to hear that I practically dove into the birth tub. I spent the rest of the time in the tub. I started feeling the urge to push around 10am, and a few minutes after that my water finally broke! The next few pushes really seemed to do something and her head descended quickly. I couldn't WAIT to get her out! A few more pushes and she slid into my waiting hands. I pulled her up to my chest laughing and crying. I just held her close until Nate said, "What did we have?" Then I finally looked to see that it was a baby girl!!

Way to post stuff. It's hard to get back into it, isn't it? Gillian is the combined cuteness of the two before here.
